(October 1998) Super Capture The Flag was accepted from Inferno and development will continue under CotC's direction. Inferno, the creator of SCTF has agreed to assist Clan of the Camper [COTC] on this project. COTC will now have full rights to future releases of SCTF and maintain a web site where you can get more information on this Quake Mod.

Unlike standard capture which has a few runes SCTF has a massive amount. Each game is populated by runes that when activated make the playing field something to be experienced rather than seen. Don't worry about being able to grab a rune because there are enough for any sized game. Another benefit of SCTF is that it's server and not client side, thus there is nothing to download. All you need is an Ip address and you are ready to play! Each server spawns a bunch of runes, and most of the runes are activated with the Axe! You don't have to hunt down the Rocket Launcher to have the best weapon any more!

Some favorite weapons are the sniper rifle, freeze gun, mind gas, exploding lava balls and the flamethrower. Each rune provides a different weapons arsenal while providing a "second power" ability such as the invisibility of the Reptile and Hades runes. With the exception of the Axe, each weapon has three powers! Collect a few rockets and a Rocket Launcher and press 7 a few times. Try it!

Clan of the Camper's Development Team is now accepting membership applications to those who would like to be an integral part of a large camping based clan, and have a full in house development staff. Level Designer positions are also being accepted. Only highly available and quality people who have proven skills will be considered. Also in development is Quake World SCTF, Quake 2 SCTF and other utilities focused on improving server administration.
